  Sydney Tango Collective is a wonderful place to learn to dance!! The community is so friendly, welcoming and supportive! The classes are fun and the teachers are passionate and encouraging. The energy is brilliant! The ages are mostly 20s to late 30s and I found the crowd to be enthusiastic and respectful. I recommend staying for the practice after the lessons so that you can consolidate what you’ve learnt and have a lot of social fun with the other dancers. Tango is a beautiful dance, and learning from Mona, Mo, Sunny and Alex in such a positive environment was a wonderful experience! Thank you Sydney Tango Collective!!

  I’ve had a phenomenal experience at STC so far. Mona and Mo are extremely warm, attentive and professional instructors who go above and beyond at helping you perfect your technique and making you feel comfortable. The classes are very beginner-friendly (with Advanced options available) and there is an excellent, tight-knit sense of community among the dancers and attendees.   I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place. Monica and Mo are great instructors that are very good at teaching and catering to students of any level, as well as amazing dancers.   I was initially a little hesitant to learn a dance as complex and intimidating as Tango, but instructors Mo and Mona quickly dispelled any doubts I had! They're cordial and dedicated teachers who you can tell really care about their craft, and broke down the fundamental concepts and movements in a way that was digestible and engaging. More importantly, aspects like musicality, history, and culture were not overlooked, but rather integrated throughout the entire learning process, instilling confidence and a naunced degree of understanding in their students. Fantastic venue, very reasonable pricing (esp. as a student), and a lovely, down-to-earth group of social dancers, too!
